Sign Up Now for Piano or Voice Lessons
Sept - May Monthly Tuition: $80.00 (30 minute weekly lessons). Family rates (more than one enrolled) monthly tuition: $70.00 per student.
Summer months - June thru August Tuition is paid per 30 minute weekly lesson at $20 per lesson or $17.50 per lesson, per student when more than one from a family is enrolled.

Registration

see "Schedule" tab for lesson availability. Please note that you will be required to sign a policy acceptance form in order to
complete registration for lessons.
Tuition and Fees
Tuition is due at the FIRST lesson of each month. A late fee of $10.00 will be accrued for any tuition not paid by the first lesson of each month.
Piano Students - A registration/enrollment fee of $25.00 is due annually in addition to monthly tuition. This fee covers recital costs, a subscription to "Piano Explorer" and helps
with other fees associated with incentive programs throughout the year.
Summer months - June thru August Tuition is $20 per lesson (30 minute weekly) or $17.50 per lesson with more than one from same family enrolled.
Summer tuition is paid for per lesson, but preferrably at the beginning of the month. Current Students: You must enroll for a minimum of 8 summer lessons in order to keep your time slot for September - May.
Sept - May: Tuition is $80 for a weekly 30 minute lesson, and is payable the first lesson of each month. Tuition may also be paid quarterly: September 1, December 1 and March 1, $220 for 30 minutes lessons. There are eleven lessons per quarter.
Family rates (more than one enrolled): Month tuition is $70.00 per student for a weekly 30 minute lesson or this can be paid quarterly as well.
Additional lessons given outside the eleven lesson quarter will be charged per lesson.
There are no refunds for holidays and breaks. Monthly tuition ensures you that your time spot is reserved for the specific chosen day and time.
For all months - You are essentially paying for a time spot whether you show up or not for lessons!
Form of payment - Cash, check or PayPal (No PayPal account necessary).
Checks are payable to "Heart and Soul Music."
Returned checks are subject to a $25.00 fee.
Book fees - Books are paid for as needed. Please check assignment book for amounts due.
Occasionally I will lend out books. Lost or returned books that come back damaged will be paid for by you.

Attendance Policy
Lessons must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance in order to qualify for a make-up lesson. Make-up lessons will be offered for sickness,
family emergencies, or if I need to cancel for some reason. Group piano
lessons may be scheduled throughout the year for piano students due to weather cancellations or reasons deemed necessary by the teacher.
No make-ups or swaps are allowed for missed group lessons or missed make up lessons.
Please note that teacher makeup times are subject to teacher availability. Only 1 teacher makeup time arranged by teacher and student will be allowed per month.
Additional missed lessons that are not rescheduled through the "swaplist" are non refundable. If for some reason you have to terminate lessons, please note that lesson
tuition is non-refundable.
Cancellations for bad weather, just like any other cancellation, will be made up based on
teacher availability. The teacher may also arrange for a group lesson at a later date.
Swaplist Guidelines
I offer a voluntary list where you can have your name, phone number, and lesson time published on a "lesson swap"
list. All students who choose to be on this will receive a username access and password to access the swaplist from the
home page of this website. Students who are not using the swaplist will not receive username or password.
Lessons can then be rearranged and "swapped" with other students for important and unavoidable conflicts. Swaplist
can be used at any time but not to exceed two swaps a month.
Please notify me in advance of changed lessons times arranged from the swaplist.
Practicing and Preparation
Please be on time for your lesson. If your lesson is from 4:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. and you come at 4:10 p.m., the lesson will still end
at 4:30 p.m. This insures that lessons will not run behind.
Piano students are accepted with the understanding that they will practice regularly. School age piano students will be asked to complete and sign with parent
a "Practice Commitment Letter" at the beginning of each school year term (Committing to practice 30 minutes minimum 4 days a week).
Piano students are required to bring music books and notebook to each lesson. Parents of younger children - please review assignments with your child!
Vocal students - please come with your voice warmed up. Please do be prepared with music CD, lyrics or sheet music as discussed at lessons.
All vocal students will be asked to order and purchase "Winning Warmups for the Voice" CD
by Kathleen VanDeGraff through http://www.domenicoproducts.com. Any vocal or piano music books for practice will be purchased by student.
Termination
Any student wishing to discontinue lessons must give a 2 week notice. Students may be terminated for the following -
No shows - two weeks in a row without contacting me, I assume that you no longer choose to be enrolled as a private student.
Continued unruly behavior - parents, you may be asked to be in attendance of lessons for students.
